Pouch Cove in Newfoundland is located 40 kilometers north of Historic St. John's, the location where the first ever Trans-Atlantic signal was received on December 12, 1901. The town crest proudly proclaims that Pouch Cove is "First to See the Sun" in North America.
The appropriately named Red House will serve as our home for the attempt. It has a large clear area sloping gently towards the Atlantic that is quite suitable for our needs.
Most importantly, that clear area is aligned directly with Ireland!
